Dear Members and Friends:

Greetings and Merry CHRISTmas to one and all!  It has been a long time since our last newsletter.  What better time to renew it again.  Advent is upon us and this is the time we prepare for the birth of our Savior on the wonderful Christmas Day.  God sent us the greatest gift of all for mankind,  to live among us and to provide the example of true light and life.  Oh, if only we could all live the same way Jesus did!  We strive to do so but always fall short and God knows this and still loves us and forgives us when we ask and repent.  This Christmas we are, as usual, going about the "things and stuff" that is the commercial aspect of the season.  This year I urge you all, and me too, to stop and realize that; yes we are anticipating the birth of Jesus, but there is another Advent too.  The Advent of His coming again to claim us once and for all.   We need to keep our eyes and hearts focused toward heaven and to be ready for the coming of our Savior as a babe, and as our redeeming Savior. We are sharing in the great gift and the great gospel of Christ this Christmas, be sure to share it with someone you know that does not Jesus as their personal Savior.  Let them be in on and open the best gift of all for Christmas, the gift of hope, peace, joy, love and Christ the King.  MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND PEACE UNTO YOU!!
In His service,

Pastor Tom Bell

SCURRY’S TIDBITS

Wow!  Howdy folks, been away for some time but I am back and glad to be here again.  Merry Christmas to one and all and I can't wait to get back into the swing of things here on the hill.  Can't wait to see and hear the pageant, go to all the parties, hear the choir's cantata, the barber shoppers chorus that is coming, the Christmas Caroling, ringing the bell for the Salvation Army  (I will be inside someone's coat pocket staying warm), and yes even Pastor Tom's messages on Sunday mornings.  Since I last wrote to you all I see the church has many new faces and members and that is great.  For those of you who are kinda new, please watch your step especially when there is a party and food is around, don't want you to feel bad if you step on my tail by accident, plus I think the screams of the ladies hurts other ears besides mine.  I want to take time to say Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you right now!  I wish all of you find the true joy of the season and that is the love of God and the birth of Jesus.  Well that's all for now, got lots to do and little time to get it done..................gotta scurry!
